Hi! I’m Cortney. Disciple of Christ. Wife to Dan. Mom to four amazing kids. I am passionate about helping millennial moms reach their financial goals, save money, and invest for the future but not sacrifice the precious time we have today. 

I haven’t always been financially savvy. In high school, as soon as I got a paycheck, I would run to the mall! In college, coffee shops called my name. When I first got married, I had student debt, was working as a youth pastor, and had no sense for how to get ahead financially, how to save, how to invest, or how to plan for the future. 

In 2013, my husband and I started reading and learning all we could and found out there are some simple steps to financial freedom. Fast forward to 2020, I quit my job to stay home with my kids. I wanted to choose presence over financial security. But I’ve found out it doesn’t have to be one or the other. It can be both.

My passion is giving back to families who have made similar sacrifices. Just because you’re a one income family doesn’t mean you have to live paycheck to paycheck, go without family vacations, or never eat a good steak. If you’re a single mom, it doesn’t mean you can’t save for retirement. Just because you haven’t started saving for retirement yet doesn’t mean you can’t make a difference today. Maybe today’s the day to start pursuing new habits that will leave a legacy for your future. Moms, we can do this!

Learn from my mistakes. Learn from my successes. Let’s keep it simple. Let’s keep it real! We can learn together how to change the culture of finance and teach our kids along the way.
